Located in the midst of beautiful tall pine trees, this detached house is designed to most delicately fit on the plot while preserving the nature as much as possible. The overall form of the building is derived from the positioning of the trees – the L-shaped design wraps itself around the pines. In order to blend with the surrounding nature the dominant facade material is vertical larch siding with iron sulfate treatment that protects the wood and gives a more neutral tone to it. In addition to the wooden siding, slate stone tiles partially cover the facade on the ground floor for contrast. The building has a large glass facade element that provides natural light to the open living space. Glue-laminated timber casings are installed around the glass facade that amplifies the overall shape of the building.
